Do I need an Instagram Business or Creator account?
Yes. Instagram Graph API only works with Business or Creator accounts. Personal accounts cannot be used. You can convert your personal account to Business/Creator in Instagram settings for free.
How do I connect my Instagram account?
Click 'Start Free' → 'Connect Instagram' → Authorize via Meta OAuth. You'll need to log into Facebook (which owns Instagram) and select the Instagram account and Facebook Page to connect. Takes ~30 seconds.
Can I use InstaBot with multiple Instagram accounts?

Routing & Copying
How does manual routing work?
Use the `/links target_id source_id [source2...]` command in Telegram or the dashboard UI. Example: `/links 178456789 987654321` copies from source 987654321 to destination 178456789. No auto-classifier — you define exact paths.
What content types are supported?
Reels (9:16, ≤90s, H.264), Feed Photos (1:1, 4:5), Stories (9:16), Carousels (mixed). Auto-transcode, crop, and quality optimization included. Unsupported types (IGTV, Live) are skipped.
Can I filter what gets copied?
Yes. Per-source filters: reels-only, keyword include/exclude, duration min/max, media type. Set via `/filters` command or dashboard. Regex filters on Pro+ and Enterprise.
What happens if a copy fails?
Failed copies go to a retry queue with exponential backoff (1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 6h). After 5 retries, they move to dead-letter queue. You get email/webhook alerts. Copy log shows exact error.
Does InstaBot copy captions and hashtags?
Yes. Original caption is preserved. You can append SEO hashtags per category, deal hooks, and watermarks. Custom caption templates on Pro+ and Enterprise.

How do the URL shorteners work?
8 providers: Bitly, TinyURL, Rebrandly, Cutt.ly, Shorte.st, AdF.ly, Linkvertise, OUO.io. Round-robin by default, or category-based (mods→Bitly, movies→TinyURL, etc.). Add your API keys in dashboard.
What is referral hijacking?
Automatically appends your referral code to copied links. Example: `amazon.com/product?ref=YOURCODE`. Supports Amazon, ClickBank, CJ, ShareASale, Impact, and custom param patterns. Set once, applies to all future copies.
Can I use my own short domain?
Pro+ and Enterprise support custom domains with Rebrandly and Bitly. Configure in Settings → Shorteners. Free/Pro tiers use provider default domains.
How much can I earn from shorteners?
Varies by provider and traffic geography. Typical RPM: $0.50-$8 per 1000 clicks. Linkvertise and OUO pay highest but have interstitial ads. We show estimated earnings per click in dashboard.
Technical & Limits
What are the daily rate limits?
Per Instagram Graph API: 200 Reels, 50 Feed posts, 50 Stories per day per Instagram account. InstaBot enforces these via token bucket per user. Queued posts process when limits reset at midnight UTC.
How does token refresh work?
60-day long-lived tokens. InstaBot auto-refreshes 24 hours before expiry via background scheduler. You never need to manually reconnect unless Instagram revokes access.
Is my data secure?
Tokens encrypted at rest (Fernet/AES-256). HTTPS everywhere. PostgreSQL with row-level security. SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure. GDPR/CCPA compliant. Data export/delete on request.
Can I self-host InstaBot?
Enterprise tier includes self-hosted option with Docker Compose, Kubernetes Helm charts, and dedicated support. Contact sales for licensing.
What happens if Instagram changes their API?
We pin to Graph API v19.0 and monitor Meta's developer changelog. Breaking changes get hotfixed within 24-48h. Pro+ and Enterprise get priority patches and advance notice.
